About Me
Ibrahim Ambale is a dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation professional currently serving as the Programme Officer, Monitoring & Evaluation – Eritrea at the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD), a respected international development organization headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Driven by a deep commitment to leveraging the power of data for social good, Ibrahim is passionate about supporting organizations to achieve their mission by promoting data-informed decision-making and advancing humanitarian and development outcomes.
In his current role at CAFOD, Ibrahim strengthens Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems across Eritrea's core programmes, including resilience building, food security, livelihoods, and emergency interventions. Working closely with partners, the Programme Manager, and the regional team, he supports capacity-building initiatives, safeguards programme quality, and champions the development and use of efficient MEL tools. His contributions help ensure that programme interventions are informed by accurate, timely, and meaningful data, ultimately enhancing impact in communities facing complex challenges.
Previously, as the Data Analysis and Reporting Assistant at DanChurchAid Kenya, Ibrahim was instrumental in streamlining data collection processes, developing a comprehensive participant master list, and strengthening reporting systems. His work directly contributed to improved programme learning, the mobilization of additional donor resources, and more effective humanitarian responses in Kenya’s arid and marginalized areas.
Throughout his career, Ibrahim’s unwavering dedication to data-driven development has fueled transformative change. His expertise in data management, monitoring and evaluation, and research has enabled NGOs to optimize programming, amplify accountability, and deliver life-saving assistance to those in need.
Today, Ibrahim Ambale continues to be a passionate advocate for using data to drive progress and build resilience within vulnerable communities. His journey exemplifies a profound commitment to shaping a better, more equitable world through evidence-based action.
